Update on videos

For those of you who were afraid that The REAL Desert Dogs have dropped off the map, take heart. We are still going on trips, motivated solely by our desire to explore the Mojave and the mountain ranges that border it, and to share our adventures with you.

But, as we are a voluntary army the time to actually create the videos has been scarce. As it is now, we have perhaps eight, possibly even nine episodes that need to be edited. It seems we are going on more trips than we can actually produce the videos! So far, we've backpacked the Sierras, visited Death Valley twice, and even went south to the Anza Borrego. Our biologists Marty Lewis and Danny Cuellar have made enormous strides in their personal careers, and our historian Richard Elliott has made an astonishing discovery in Death Valley, and is about to publish a book.

If you haven't caught it yet, our latest video was released today. Check it out, and as we work out our video editing timeline, we're going to start getting more out to you faster.

And to be honest, the only payment we get out of doing this are the positive comments from our fans, the occasional donation, and of course the personal satisfaction of exploring our beautiful deserts. Thank you, may 2016 be the Year of the Dog. And yes, I know the actual Year of the Dog is coming in 2018.
